The Chariot of the Damned

Make : Toyota

Model : Supra

Year : 1990

Owner : Padraig O'Hagen

For the first feature I couldn't think of anything more perfect then Padraig's Mk3 Toyota Supra.
It's not something you'll see at car shows, or at track days, but something you'll see in the w
ee hours of the night cruising down the streets of Halifax looking for victims.
To say this car looks "evil" would be an understatement, with it's flat black paint job, overly

aggressive stance, green roll cage, and the
screams of death metal pouring out.

Moving Canvas : What started you in the tuning scene?

Padraig : I was in a rough place in my life and I've been saving for a car for a long time and had originally wanted to do an LS1 swapped Porsche 944 but I ended up seeing the ad for the Supra which back then was a blue, really nice classy MK3 and seen a lot of potential in it.

MC : Why did you pick this car?
Padraig : Because I seen a lot of potential in it, I knew it had a lot of disadvantages like a lack of full steering lock, the weight of the car, which from factory is around 3500 lbs, but I knew I could do something really special with it and do something unheard of in the MK3 scene.

MC : What or who inspired you to start modding?
Padraig : Seeing movies like Mad Max and the original 1980's Batman movies with Micheal Keaton, because when I was a kid and seen that car, that's what I wanted. And as I grew up I wanted a car that reflected how I felt and my personality so it's kind of like if I had my own Batmobile.
MC : What are the current mods done to the car?

Padraig : Roll cage
Giant bosozoku style shift knob
Broadway rear view mirror
240z Fender flares
HSD coilovers
Rota P45r2 wheels staggered 18x9.5 et 15 front, 18x10 et 10 rear
3 inch wheel spacers
Greddy TDO6H 20g turbo kit
4 inch Greddy exhaust
ARP studs
RC 550 injectors
JE pistons
CP rods
HKS ceramic HG
AEM true time adjustable cam gears
AEM fuel regulator
Oberg remote oil filter
225 holley fuel pump
Lexus AFM & RCTS computer
BC stage 2 cams

MC : What are the future plans for the car?

Padraig : Dual side exit exhaust
Lower
New motor
Greddy front bumper
Different aero
Corbeau seats
Welded differential
18x15 work meister wheels

MC : What is your favorite part of the car?
Padraig : Definitely the body style, it's got the 80's boxxy look with the pop up headlights and square turn signals which I've always loved.

MC : What is your favorite website/forum ?

Padraig : Stanceworks.

I'd like to give a big thanks to Padraig for not only taking the time to be the first feature but helping with the pictures/editing/being awesome.

South Shore In Motion

South Shore In Motion has come and gone and it was a pretty fun weekend to say the least considering Sean and I had front row seats for the burnout competition while everyone else had to
sit in the grandstands. The burnout competition was great! cars, trucks, bikes, atv's, and even big rigs and school busses joined in on the smoke filled event.

The show & shine had something for everyone, shiny big rigs, classic and muscle cars, crazy show oriented cars with enough stereo wattage to power a small town, tuners, and just about everything else.

Sometime in the next few weeks we should have some solo features on some amazing cars
so stay tuned on that. Until then check out the pictures from South Shore In Motion.

I'd like to give a shout out to Darren and the rest of the SSIM staff for giving us the opportunity to cover the event and allowing us where most wish they could have been. We will see you next year!

Only 15 more days until one of the main car shows of the summer! South Shore In Motion is back once again, located in the exhibition grounds of Bridgewater. Three days of car shows, burnout competitions, light shows, DB drags, and tons more.

This will be our first event coverage so everyone come out and make it a good one!

you can find all the information
here.

Who we are, and what we're about;

We've had a fairly large car scene here in Nova Scotia, but like a lot of places there isn't much for coverage or recognition. So in this project of ours we're hoping to do just that! There's tons of amazing projects that people have poured their heart and soul into and it's about time we give them the recognition they deserve, so we will photograph their works of art from every angle imaginable, ask the owner questions as to why they chose their specific mechanical canvas and what they have done to it to make it truly their own.

We won't discriminate from any vehicle, whether it's a crazy 500+ Horsepower drag strip monster, a slammed VIP inspired sedan, a growling muscle car from the 60's or your local tuner trying to turn his grocery getter into something unforgettable.

So stay "TUNED" ;)

I am Sean Cardinell and I've been into cars from day one. Like most everyone that is, I played with Dinky cars, dreaming of the day I got my License. I've had my fair collection of cars, ranging from Clean Integra's to Slow Volkswagens, automatic Cavaliers, and rusted away Civic's.

Car Photography is one of my main things lately. One of my favorite things to shoot. There's so many different things people do to add some flavor to their cars, and to be able to capture that, is awesome. I could write for days about why we're doing this, or make you wait to see what we have to share with you ;)

I am Nathaniel Whynot, and like my partner in this exciting new project I too have been obsessed with cars since as long as I can remember. My main focus is primarily anything Japanese but I have love for most things with four wheels, from American Muscle cars to German Luxury cars and just about everything in between.

My stable of cars isn't large but it's slowly growing, project by project. My first car was a '94 Ford Taurus given to me by my father, but after having enough headaches fixing it up I decided it would be better to start fresh and bought myself a '99 Ford Mustang. It was a red 3.8L V6 coupe, it needed fixing up but it was truly my first form of freedom and I was excited to start a project that wasn't being done much around here until I found out it wasn't exactly the most practical winter car...

Fast forward a few months and I now have a '94 Acura Integra which when I bought was bone stock, and is in the process of a complete makeover which I hope you readers will be excited to see.

So that's a little about myself, I look forward to showing everyone some of the sickest project cars Nova Scotia has to offer.
